So all i did was buy a $2.00 dollar square of felt, cut a small strip and stuck it on the rail over the "two screws of doom" and boom bam, problem solved. and YES it will allow you to put in and take out dvd/cds with ease, it won't jam it in their and cause it to explode. For one, this stand will scratch your $2500+ macbook (mine was about $3500) ... It's hard to explain so bear with me.
